Five Minute Friday with Lisa-Jo and Friends

I haven't blogged for almost a month. Life has just been to crazy. My middle daughter was a camp counselor for June and July, so I have enjoy precious time with her and her two younger siblings. It is over 100 degrees most of July and August here in the Sacramento Valley and we seem to move very slow while the times moves very fast.
I found a great deal on discount meat this week and we have been enjoying my 16 year old son's BBQ. Last night he made a fire just from the oak trees droppings. It was really fun for him to gather his sticks and build his fire, then cook our meat. It seemed poetic that the tree gave us the twigs and branch pieces and we were able to cook our food on the grill under the shade of the Giant Valley Oak.
Times up.

  1. I am sure God used your daughter's time as a counselor to stretch you and her.
    Your son's ingenuity stretched him.
I love the mental picture of your son cooking your dinner. You are truly blessed.

    1. Yes Jessica, I am truly blessed. Stretched daily, but very blessed. My son is very creative and his gives me plenty I could write about, but alas, he is 16 and I wouldn't dare at this moment.
