DAY 1
Praise the Lord, everything he has created, everything in all his kingdom.Psalm 103:22 NLT (Air 1 verse of the day)
Ann Voskamp has started her 31 Days of Crazy Joy.
Lisa-Jo Baker has begun her 31 Days to write your story.
I will spend the next 31 Days "Joyfully" sharing the story of the "♫GISεїз♫".
For anyone that is following my blog: I had a super time in rest, at my church retreat last weekend.
I was in the program four times: Worship in song ~ Deena. (I don't think I have ever seen my name on a program so many times.)
By God's grace and mercy the cold that had been chasing me did not catch up to me until today. Please pray it doesn't turn into laryngitis, as is the habit when I have stretched my vocal cords to the limit.
Oh, but it was so worth it to lead the ladies in worship in praise to our Lord in full voice for 48 hours.
I had a job interview this morning and it was not a job for me. As I was looking for an escape from the interview the person who has held the position showed up. She is going to stay with other payment arrangements as the employer had canceled the contract with the agency this person was working for...Thank you Lord.
God has the perfect job for me at the perfect time. He is my provider. (Philippians 4:19-20 ESV)
"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen."

Deena,
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you. I am popping over from Ann's link up and counting gifts with you. It sounds like you had a wonderful church retreat, and that you get to share in worship music. That's great. Do you play an instrument or sing?
Have a wonderful week?

Thank you Jennifer, I only sing, which makes leading 25 ladies in "worship of song" a little challenging. I only had one slip up that I had to go through the chorus and then sing the first verse, because I couldn't transition from song to song that fast. I told them I need to swallow between verse when some of them wanted to start the next verse before me a couple of times.
ReplyDeleteIt was a no accompaniment weekend as our friend from Sacramento who joined us. She brought a CD player to sing a couple of special numbers and it would not work in the meeting hall.
God must love to hear ladies voices without the background music.
Shalom,Deena
